GANANADORES DEL VII PREMIO PERIODÍSTICO "POR LA INTEGRACIÓN" POR LA "SUBTITULACIÓN DE NOTICIAS DE ARAGÓN RADIO CON LOS PICTOGRAMAS DE ARASAAC"
Aragón Radio, el CPEE Alborada y ARASAAC ha ganado el "VII Premio Periodismo... Por la integración", otorgado por el Centro de Recuperación de Personas con Discapacidad Física y/o Sensorial del Imserso en Salamanca. Este premio pretende reconocer los trabajos periodísticos y la importante labor que desarrollan los profesionales de la comunicación en favor de la integración social y laboral de las personas con discapacidad.
El proyecto de 'Subtitulación de noticias con pictogramas de ARASAAC en el segundo canal de Aragón Radio' es un proyecto pionero que consiste en subtitular determinadas noticias con los pictogramas de ARASAAC 
(Portal Aragonés de la Comunicación Aumentativa y Alternativa). Este proyecto se lleva a cabo con la colaboración del Colegio Público de Educación Especial Alborada, el Centro Aragonés de Tecnologías para la Educación (CATEDU) y el Instituto de Investigación en Ingeniería de Aragón (I3A).
Con este premio se destaca la labor de Aragón Radio por la "integración depersonas con discapacidad en sus contenidos, por la participación de las mismas en la elaboración de noticias para el segundo canal, y por la inclusión de éstas mediante lenguaje aumentativo, adaptado y asequible para la comunicación con personas que presentan dificultades".
ARASAAC has been awarded the first prize in the Communication and Information Technologies category. ARASAAC competed as finalist against two other candidates: Pilar del Valle, for her design of proposals on e-accessibility for personal health solutions and Óscar Saz, for his development of voice-based tools to achieve accessibility to the computer and the Internet.
The objective of these awards, which are held since 1998, is to promote social sensitization towards the promotion of ways aimed to achieve full universal accessiblity and the promotion of personal autonomy. Public administrations, companies, non-profit organizations and regular people can go in for the prize.
Prince of Viana Attention to Dependence 2010 Awards finalist
The Prince of Viana International Award of Attention to Dependence is given by Navarra's Government and Caja Navarra to praise recognition to those people or entities that have made relevant investigations and innovative practices on the attention to dependent people, in the promotion of the personal autonomy and in the prevention of the reasons that cause dependence.
Among the 61 candidatures that were finally presented, the Centro Aragonés de Tecnologías para la Educación was selected for the creation of the Aragonese Portal for the Augmentative and Alternative Communication (ARASAAC). The other 6 finalists were professor Jesús Vaquero Crespo, sportswoman Teresa Silva Fernández, the Spanish Confederation of Ancient people Organizations, which was the winner; doctor Jim Van Oos, musical group Staff Benda Bilili and the Atena Psicoballet Foundation.
